Students can bring in their teddy bears for the drive at any time! The two 8th grade classes are competing to see who brings in the most bears! The 6th and 7th grade classes are collecting coloring books and crayons for the Cumberland Police Station. 8th Grade The 8th grade classes are collecting teddy bears for the Frostburg Police Station. These items will be given to the officers from each police station. The officers are faced with many difficult situations, sometimes often involving children. The teddy bears and coloring books will be given to children who are in situations where they need comfort. We are hoping that these small items will make a BIG difference in each child's life. If you ever have any questions, please email me at [email protected] Thank you, Senora Courtney I am teaming up with local police for a Service Learning Project. This project will help the students to become more educated on the services that law enforcement provides to our community. Throughout this Service Learning Project, I will be tying in the Spanish curriculum, and making it relevant to our unit topic. The students will be encouraged to participate in the drives (Teddy Bears, Coloring Books, etc.) that we will be holding throughout the semester.
Please keep an eye out for more information on this Service Learning Project, as it will start at the end of January! Thank you, Ms. Courtney |
