We are applying our colors in day to day life with these QR codes! We talked about how colors can be seen on an indigenous person's outfit in South America, we use colors when ordering food/ drinks, shopping, and to explain what certain object we may be talking about. Did your student tell you about Senora Courtney videoing herself at Sheetz and Kohls? They loved it! Instead of the boring "write this down" line, the students were able to explore Spanish colors by matching a picture up with the color on the hallway wall! They love active learning!
The students did a great job on their Piñatas! Did you know that Queens and Kings used to stuff them full of jewels and bust them with their friends? That sounds like my kind of celebration! Be sure to ask your student what else we learned about Piñatas! The students seemed to have loved making the Alfabet-Os assessment! Be sure to check out our pictures!
Just a friendly reminder please turn in media forms ASAP. This should be attached to the first newsletter! Hola!
Please do not forget to turn in media forms. These forms give me permission to photograph the students and use the videos/ pictures in my portfolio for graduation. The media forms are attached to the NEWSLETTER that the students received two weeks ago! The Alfabet-Os cereal boxes turned out great! I am still waiting on a few to be returned. This was a great way for me to assess what they have learned about the Spanish alphabet! The students were able to extend their knowledge of Spanish vocabulary by looking up new words that start with their letter, and it allowed them to be creative! The boxes are displayed in the hallways and in the classroom. I will be posting pictures of them soon! If you ever have any questions, please email me at [email protected] Thank you, Senora Courtney Welcome to your student's spanish class! My name is Ms. Courtney and I am very excited to be teaching Spanish for my final semester of college.
This semester will be very exciting for both the students and myself, as I plan to make the learning experience fun and beneficial. With the introduction to the Spanish Language, I hope to motivate your student to try their best when learning a second language, as well as give them basic skills to help conversate. |
